Homeless families get houses thru lottery in Jhenaidah

Thirty five landless and homeless families in Jhenaidah Sadar uazila received new houses through lottery as the gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina according to her election pledges to provide residence for all.

Jhenaidah district administration as a part f the programme had handed over such 35 houses among the destitute families of Harisankarpur and Sadhuhati on Tuesday noon and afternoon in separate events. 

Deputy Director of local government (LG) Yarul Islam had handed over the houses to respective family members. Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) in Jhenaidah Sadar SM Shahin, assistant commissioner (AC) Land Khan Abdullah Al Mamun, upazila project implementation officer (UPIO) Neuton Bayeen, Harisankarpur union parishad (UP) Chairman Abdullah Al Masum among others remain present during the lottery.

 A number of residents after receiving the newly built houses with kitchen and toilet facilities had expressed their great satisfaction and prayed to the Almighty for the wellbeing of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina she had ensured houses for the have less family members which was beyond their expectation.

Director of Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Yarul Islam had said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as per her election pledges have been ensuring houses for the landless and homeless families so that they could not led inhuman life anymore as per their human rights. 

No one in the country will be left without houses in a year of two when the “Mother of Humanity” Sheikh Hasina had been leading the country with her all efforts towards a developed one within a specific time, Yarul Islam said.
