The overflowing crowd of homebound people has increased at Chattogram railway station.  All the trains that left for different destinations from Friday morning had extra passengers.  There were more standing passengers than ticket passengers. Most of the trains from Chattogram station left on time.  However, Mymensingh-bound Vijay Express was scheduled to leave at 9 am, but left at 19.15 am.

According to Chattogram Railway Station sources, the Subarna Express left Chattogram station at 7 am, the Paharika Express at 7.20 am, the Sagarika Express at 7.40 am and the Chattala Express at 8.30 am.  Mymensingh-bound Vijay Express train left 1 hour 15 minutes late.

A passenger named Nurul Alam said, ‘I have come to the station to go home (Mymensingh).  Earlier, I could not even stand in line twice for advance tickets.  For this reason, I am going home even if I am standing on a standing ticket. 'Meanwhile, passengers who did not get advance tickets crowded the station from morning.  The goal is to reach the destination without having to stand on any train.

Chattogram Railway Station Manager Ratan Kumar Chowdhury said, "All the trains have left the station on time since morning.  However, the Mymensingh-bound Vijay Express train left an hour late.  We are working to ensure that the rest of the trains leave the station at the right time. "

Salamat Ullah, Chief Inspector of Security in Chattogram railway station, said, "We are working to ensure that homebound passengers can return home safely on Eid."  However, all the trains had extra passengers.
