This is Bangladesh’s first Test victory against Pakistan, having failed to do so in the last 13th attempts. They had lost 12, most of which by an innings margin and drew one Test previously.
When it mattered most, the Tigers roared collectively to complete a most decorated victory in their Test history when they sealed a perfect 10-wicket win over Pakistan in the two-match series opening game at Rawalpindi on Sunday. The maiden Test victory over Pakistan was some solace for the nation which was going through a difficult time in the last two months-firstly due to a political unrest and then a severe flood that affected badly various parts of the country.
We believe Bangladesh will be successful if the country’s players get opportunity on merit and if they are not stressed mentally. And this victory will build up the confidence of players and coaches of the national cricket team to get them actively contributing in the upcoming any Test series. We also think our young tigers will be roaring in the future.

We are pleased to see that our youngsters showed the maturity to carry the innings in planned way. We have noticed when the critics lash our tigers’ performance they hit back in the next game and register both bowling and batting figure high that help Bangladesh win the game always. Therefore, our every player’s performance is important not only to make an impact in cricket quickly but also to help Bangladesh do better in the all format of cricket. As a team, our tigers are improving in every game while the conditions have varied in each game, which is another challenge in itself.
We believe that our youngsters are confident now and they are dedicated to the cricket alongside physical fitness. The tigers have the strength and capacity to beat any team whatever they might be in all format of cricket. We also hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team would continue in future. But, Bangladesh's spinners showed why they were rated highly even in a pitch, conducive to the bowlers. As Bangladesh were in trouble in the first, Mushfiqur helped the side stay stable by sharing a number of partnerships, which eventually guided Bangladesh to 565, their highest Test total against Pakistan.
His marathon innings, however, was key in helping the side achieve a rare victory in overseas condition. The better himself considered his 191 is one of his finest performance in Test cricket. We hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team would continue in future.
