Historic March 7 observed in dists

The historical 7th March was observed under the auspices of District Awami League, District Administration, Shilpakala Academy, Educational Institutes, Police Department and social organisations on March 7 in Chuadanga. 

The programmes included hoisting National Flag before at Awami League office, placing wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, discussion meeting by District Awami league. 

District Administration and Shilpakala Academy jointly organised painting competition, recitation competition, speech of Bangabandhu and discussion. 

Police Department chalked out various programmes following badminton competition to mark the day. Documentary Film on Bangabandhu was screened at different points in Chuadanga by Information Department. 

Gazipur Correspondent says:The historic March 7 was celebrated on Thursday at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University in Gazipur with due dignity and enthusiasm. 

On this occasion, a colorful procession led by Acting VC and Treasurer Prof Tofail Ahmed was taken out from the Administration Square that paraded the campus. At the end of the procession, tributes were paid to Bangabandhu's portrait under the leadership of acting VC and Treasurer on behalf of the university. 

Highlighting the significance of the day, Chief Guest Professor Tofail Ahmed said, Bangabandhu is our only guide. The March 7 speech is historic and the main motivation to move forward for the oppressed, exploited, disenfranchised struggling people of the world. This unwritten speech of 18 minutes 30 seconds and 1105 words is recognized as a UN document today. 

It is a great document of how a single speech can inspire an unarmed nation to armed struggle. Inspired by Bangabandhu's fighting spirit and deep patriotism, he urged everyone to dedicate themselves to the service of the country and the people. He also said that the Bengali nation will forever remember the uncompromising leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great hero of freedom, as the savior of the oppressed Bengalis. University Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Under the chairmanship of Md. Mahbubur Rahman, the President of Teachers' Association Professor Dr. Md. Ahiduzzaman. 

A special doa mahfil was held at Bad Zohar Central Mosque for the prosperity of the country and the nation. Dean, Registrar, Director, Proctor, Provost, along with students, teachers, officers, employees were present in all programs of the day.

Bogura Correspondent reports: The historic March 7 was observed in Bogura by befitting manners.  Different Organisations including District Administration, District Awami League, Press Club organised programmes to observe the Day. 

The Bangabandhu Mural was inaugurated at District Administration premise on Thursday (March 7). Bogura District Parishad Chairman Dr Mokbul Hossain places wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu marking the historic March 7. Besides, officials Police administration, Zilla Parishad, Muktijoddah Sangsad, Sadar Uapzila Administration, representatives of govt nad non-govt institutes also places wreath in the Bnagabandhu mural to observe the day.

Upazila Administration arranges a discussion at  Zilla Parishad Auditorium . Local Government Departmnet Deputy – Director Masud Ali Beg presided the meeting while Ragibul Ahsan Ripu, MP, has addressed the meeting as the chief guest. 

Ishawardi(Pabna) Correspondent says:  Ishwardi Upazila Administration, Upazial Parishad, Thana, Govt and non- govt Organisations, local Awanu League, , Jubo League , Chhatra League and different social and cultural organisatins took our several programmes to  observe the day. Organisating Secretary of Awami League Galibur Rahman Sharif MP first pay tribute on the mural of Banganbandhu. UNO Subir Kumar Das lead Upazila Administration, Chairman (Acting) Abdus Salam Khan lead Upazila Parishad , Ishwadi Circle Additional Police Super Biplop Kumar Goshami lead Thana Administration place wreath at the mural of the father of the nation to mark the day. 

Meherpur Correspondent reports:  The historical March 7 has been celebrated in Meherpur with various events.

 On the occasion of the day, at 9:30 am in the office premises of the District Commissioner, Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain offered wreaths to the portrait of Bangabandhu, along with the district administration and various officials of the district. Later acting Deputy Commissioner Shamim Hossain offered floral tributes on behalf of the district administration. 

Then Additional Superintendent of Police Kamrul Ahsan on behalf of Law and Order Office placed wreaths on Bangabandhu's portrait, District Awami League Vice President Abdus Samad Bablu Bishas on behalf of District Awami League and Joint General Secretary of District Awami League Adv. Awami League leaders including Ibrahim Shahen. 

Then, one by one, various government offices, educational institutions, students of schools and colleges along with various social, political and cultural organizations of the district offered wreaths to the portrait of Bangabandhu.

 Also, various government and private programs have been organized on the occasion of the day.
