If the lockdown had not started because of coronavirus, maybe Jannatul Sumaiya Himi would have started the biopic of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by Shyam Banegal about.
But as corona caused a nationwide lockdown, the timing of the biopic’s work became uncertain.
Meanwhile, Himi has completed the work of a drama by acting in the title role. The name of the drama is ‘Nandini’. The play is directed by Farhad Faisal. Popular actor Abdun Noor Shajal has acted opposite Himi in it.
Regarding acting in the drama, Himi said, “The story of the play revolves around Nandini. Shajal’s character has a love affair with Nandini. At one point Nandini got married to another boy.
But Nandini is not happy there. And she comes back to her old boyfriend. But a lot of time goes by in those days. I really like the story and the characters. That is why I have tried to portray my character properly.”
Himi said the drama will soon be aired on a private TV channel.
Meanwhile, two days ago, Himi acted in an awareness documentary under the direction of Taher Shipon. Himi has acted in this documentary to create awareness about women’s child marriage and going to union and family welfare centers. In it, Himi has played the role of Aleya.
