Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday issued the highest alert in Benapole Border area and Police Immigration in Benapole to prevent the criminals involved in casino business from leaving the country.

Authorities of the Benapole Border and police immigration area have been asked to take necessary measures so that the criminals involved in casino business cannot leave the country, 49 border guard Bangladesh (BGB) Commanding officer Lt. Col Salim Reja said.

The Police and BGB  authorities issue the highest alert so that the  casino business men cannot leave the country and ordered law enforcers to immediately arrest all the accused in the case filed over the matter.

The immigration authorities are checking the names, addresses, photos and fingerprints of all the outgoing passengers at the check post to prevent the criminals fleeing to India using fake passports, he added.

Apart from this, the passenger is being seen with photographs and handprints, so as not to use multiple or fake passports.

Benapole Immigration Police received a directive from the Special Branch (SB) of Police to prevent Ismail Chowdhury Samrat, president of Jubo League's Dhaka South unit, and nine Nepali citizens from leaving the country through the land port, said the OC.

Lt Col Selim Reza, and Lt Col Imran Ullah Sarkar commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh BGB 49 and 21 battalion respectively said BGB members have been kept on high alert so that the state declared criminals can’t leave the country illegally  through the border.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday said those who got the share of the casino money, no matter whether they belong to Awami League, other parties, or the police administration, will not be spared.
