Md Mujibur Rahman, Mayor of Cox's Bazar municipality, inaugurated the a high quality pump in the town on Saturday.
The modern pump was installed at the Central Bus Terminal in Cox’s Bazar to solve the water problem for long. Mayor Mujibur Rahman said that the installed pump is capable to draw 48 thousand liters of water per hour that will solve this acute problems of the municipality.
The residents of several important areas like Central Bus terminal, Takepara, Nurpara, Peshkarpara, Phulbagh Road, Bara Bazar, will enjoy the facility of the pump continuously. Besides, Mayor ensured that more four pumps will be installed to resolve the water problems in the area. At that time, the mayor emphasized over cent percent service of the municipal population.
Later, the Mayor inaugurated the pump officially while a doa and munajat programme was arranged. Among others, assistant Engineer and Water Super Engineer of Cox's Bazar municipality Titan Das, Bill Clark Abdullah, Pump driver Ferdous and Abdur Rashid, local dignitaries were also present there.
