Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a significant revamp of their High Performance (HP) unit, appointing three former national cricketers to key coaching roles. This decision, taken at the board's most recent meeting, aims to strengthen the pipeline of talent feeding into the national team.

The BCB has secured the services of Rajin Saleh, Tushar Imran and Tarek Aziz as batting coach, batting consultant and bowling coach respectively. Rajin Saleh, who captained Bangladesh at the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy, has signed a three-month contract as batting coach. His role will extend beyond the HP unit, as he will also be available to the BCB during international windows. Saleh will be joining the HP team on their upcoming tour to Darwin, Australia, where they will participate in the Northern Territory T20 tournament from July 14th to August 1st. He is currently in Rajshahi with the HP squad.

Tushar Imran, a former national opener, and Tarek Aziz, a former pace bowler, have been appointed as long-term batting consultant and bowling coach respectively. Both players boast experience in these coaching roles, having previously worked with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.

Nadif Chowdhury has also been named as the new selector for the Bangladesh age-group national teams.

This restructure of the HP unit demonstrates the BCB's commitment to nurturing young talent and ensuring a strong future for Bangladeshi cricket.
