Heat wave likely to continue

The mild to moderate heat wave which is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the regions of Noakhali and Dinajpur may continue today (Sunday), says a met office bulletin. 

“The mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the regions of Noakhali and Dinajpur and it may continue till Sunday. After that there is a chance of raining at some places of the country,” the met office said. 

The met bulletin, however, said rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

The day and night temperature is likely to remain unchanged over the country. The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 39.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while Saturday’s minimum temperature is 19.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

The sun sets at 06:32 pm on Saturday and rises at 05:18am today (Sunday) in the city.
