Khan Mohammad Shahriar, of Kurigram Sadar police station, has been elected the best Officer-in-Charge of the district for three consecutive months. He received the award from the chairperson of the monthly crime review meeting held at the hall room of Kurigram police office recently.
His achievements include drug recovery, speedy issuance of charge sheets in important cases, maintaining law and order, following the instructions of the Superintendent of Police and superiors and convincing his subordinate police officers and constables. He won the award among 11 police stations in the district in November, December and January.
This award has increased my responsibility. I would like to express my gratitude to all concerned, including the SP Sir, for evaluating my work and nominating me for the award, said Shahriar.
After joining the police force in 1996, he was first in charge of Ruhania police station in Thakurgaon district and later in charge of Gaibandha Sadar police station. Recently he has become the Officer-in-Charge of Kurigram Sadar police station.
