Imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War and ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to make the country a prosperous one, noted citizens said.
Sheikh Hasina is the lone personality whose ruling is obvious to continue the flow of the country’s development, they said.
They made these comments at an iftar mahfil organised by Bangabandhu Parishad at the Engineers Institute of Bangladesh (EIB) in the capital on Sunday.
General secretary of the organisation SA Malek presided over the programme while pro-vice chancellor of Open University Mokaddem Hossain, Professor Shirin Akter, Vice Chancellor of Sher-E-Bangla Agriculture University Professor Dr Kamal Uddin Ahamed, Editor-In-Chief of Bangladesh Post Sharif Shahab Uddin were present at the programme.
SA Malek said Bangabandhu in 1975 was assassinated by a section of power ambitious unscrupulous persons but leaving a gift, Shiekh Hasina, for the countrymen.
There is a group of people who, after 1975 and still now, are spreading rumors that Bangabandhu formed Bakshal with an autocratic move, which is entirely a propaganda.
Bangabandhu, only for making the country into a self-developed one, established the unified ruling system, terming it a second revolution, he added.
“It’s the time to conduct a research on which purposes did the Father of the Nation form such a political and social system,” he mentioned.
He also urged the country’s intellectuals to write books unveiling the prime reason for forming Bakshal by Bangabandhu.
Speakers also mentioned, with the supervision of Sheikh Hasina, the country in the last ten years made tremendous development in all areas of the society. That is why, we all should pray for her sound health and security so that she can rule the country as per people’s mandate.
