Hasina Mohiuddin, wife of former Chattogram mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury and mother of Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, has been detected as positive for Covid-19.
Dr Selim Akter Chowdhury, chief medical officer of the CCC and her son-in-law conformed the matter. Earlier, her younger son Borhanul Hasan Chowdhury Salehin has been infected with coronavirus. They are in home isolation now.
Hasina Mohiuddin had taken the test at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease. Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said eight samples from Hasina's residence were tested at BITID and of which three were positive.
