Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud met with Member of European Parliament (MEP) Sara Matthieu in Brussels in a bid to foster Bangladesh friendship group at European parliament.
During the meeting on Wednesday evening, they held discussions on, among other issues, forming the group among MEPs in the world's largest trans-national parliament composed of 705 members.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Belgium Mahbub Hassan Saleh was present, said a release received on Thursday.
They also discussed business relations of Bangladesh with Belgium and also with European Union specially to increase export of ready-made garment products.
The minister, who is now visiting Europe, is expected to return home on July 18.
