Harunur Rashid has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Managing Director (DMD) at NRB Commercial Bank Ltd (NRBC Bank). Prior to the promotion, Harunur Rashid served as the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of Operations of the Bank. Previously he was the Head of Financial Administration Division and Treasure Division of NRBC Bank.
Harunur Rashid started his Banking career at Mercantile Bank Limited in 1999 as Probationary Officer. During his versatile banking career, he worked at a number of important position. After serving in Mercantile Bank for 14 years, he joined NRBC Bank in 2013.
He achieved B.Com (Honors) and M.Com degree in Marketing from University of Dhaka. He also completed M.Phil from the same university with the topic `Customer Services in Banks’. During his career, he participated in a number of workshops, trainings and seminars at home and abroad on different areas of Banking & Finance. Harunur Rashid was born on 10 December 1974 in renowned muslim family in Chatkhil Upazila of Noakhali district.
