A protest march and protest rally was held at Pahartali Divisional Railway Manager's office on Sunday morning at the initiative of Bangladesh Railway Sramik League Central Committee to protest against harassing transfer of railway employees and non-payment of salaries and allowances on time.
At the end of the procession, a short protest rally was held and the demands were presented after meeting Abidur Rahman, Divisional Railway Manager of Chattogram. The Divisional Railway Manager assured to accept the demands.
