Registration process for performing hajj this year will start on May 16 and continue till May 18. Interested pilgrims will have to complete their registration process within these three days.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed this in a notification on Thursday.
According to the notification, pilgrims who have completed their registration in 2020 but were not able to go for Hajj due to the outbreak of pandemic they will be given priority this year.
The notification said, in case of government management, pilgrims up to 25,924 pre-registered serial of 2020 will come under registration for Hajj this year. And in case of Hajj under private management, the registrants of 2020 will come under registration this time.
Hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on July 8, subject to the sighting of the moon. This time 57585 people will be able to go for Hajj from Bangladesh. Of them, 4,000 will be able to go for Hajj under government management and 53,585 under private management.
