Habibur Rahman Johir, a culinary artist by passion and profession

Habibur Rahman Johir is a culinary artist not only by passion but also by profession. 

He is presently serving as the Culinary-in-Charge & Executive Sous Chef at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka. 

Having the  experience of over 20 years in a wide range of disciplines including Creative Food Plating, Menu Planning & Engineering, HACCP management, Large Banquet Operations, Kitchen Layout Designing, Cost control & Inventory Management.

He took the dare of testing himself in a dynamic and challenging environment early in his career when he shifted to the glamorous hospitality world of Dubai, UAE. 

Before that, Habibur Rahman completed his Bachelor of Social Science (B.S.S) in Social Science from National University of Bangladesh. 

Then he went on to complete the full course on Food & Beverage Production from National Hotel & Tourism Training Institute.

Later, he joined the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group (Radisson) Dhaka in July 2007.  During this journey across different locations, Chef Habibur have had the pleasure to co-produce creations with renowned culinary artists like Michelin Star Chef Michel Rostang, Michelin Star Chef Giorgio Locatelli, Chef Hany Mohammed, Chef Tony Khan and many more. 

Chef Habibur had the pleasure of serving 9 heads of state from the Presidents of Switzerland, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, as well as global bodies like FIFA, OIC and the World Bank during their stay at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.  He has also participated in World Islamic Halal Sumit Istanbul in Turkey in 2018 and conducted a weeklong exhibition titled "Bangladeshi Food Festival in Singapore 2019". Habibur Rahman Johir is currently the President of Chef’s Federation of Bangladesh which has now around 26,000 members who are all Bangladeshi Chefs employed around the world. 

He is also the country representative of the World Platform of Islamic Countries Culinary Societies.
