Meanwhile, the authorities of SCHOLARSHOME, a collegiate school in Sylhet, have sent a message to the parents to pay the monthly fees of the students of each branch of the reputed educational institution in Sylhet. Monthly fees of the institute is Tk 2,000 and if a student miss classes for a day he has to pay Tk 40 fine.

The parents were surprised by this request. They are commenting that such action taken by SCHOLARSHOME is almost inhuman.

In the message, notices have been issued by all the 6 branches of Scholars Home to pay the current month's fees including the arrears. The message was sent on Wednesday, April 29, urging them to pay the fees, the parents said.

Ifal Chowdhury, a student of the institute, said that the rule of the school is that if the officer sees that the monthly fees, fines, other fees are paid, only then admit card for exams are given. Otherwise students are not allowed to enter the room for the Admit card. There is no discount in the case of monthly fees or fines, in case of delay of one month, there is also a fine”.
