Group show ‘Tactile’ begins at Galleri Kaya

A two-week group art exhibition titled ‘Tactile’ by 24 modern and contemporary artists of the country has begun in Galleri Kaya at the capital’s Uttara from Saturday.

Former Attorney General Barrister Fida M Kamal inaugurated the exhibition, while eminent architect and art critic Shamsul Wares was present special guest at the inaugural ceremony. Director of Galleri Kaya, Goutam Chakraborty emceed the opening ceremony.

The ongoing exhibition is showcasing a selection of 54 artworks done in charcoal, pastel and pencil on paper and canvas.

The participating artists are—Abdus Shakoor Shah (1947), Ahmed Shamsuddoha (1958), Anisuzzaman (1972), Anukul Chandra Mojumder (1974), Goutam Chakraborty (1965), Hamiduzzaman Khan (1946) Hashem Khan (1941), Jamal Ahmed (1955), Kamaluddin (1977), Karu Titas (1965), Kazi Rakib (1955), Mohammad Eunus (1954), Mohammad Iqbal (1967), Mostafizul Haque (1957), Murtaja Baseer (1932), Nagarbasi Barman (1973), Nazli Laila Monsur (1952), RafiqunNabi (1943), Ranjit Das (1956), RezaunNabi (1957), Saidul Haque Juise (1960), Samarjit Roy Choudhury (1937),  Sheikh Afzal Hossain (1960) and Shahanoor Mamun (1986).

The exhibition is open to all every day from 11:00am to 7:30pm, until May 11.
