The Graduation Dinner of National Defence Course 2020 and Armed Forces War Course 2020 was held on Monday at National Defence College in Mirpur Cantonment in the capital Dhaka, said an ISPR release on Tuesday.
According to the release, signed by Assistant Director of ISPRRashadul Alam Khan,Commandant of NDC Lieutenant General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan was present as the chief guest.
Lieutenant General Hasan congratulated all course members of the courses for successful completion of the courses and thanked the faculty members and staff officers of the college for their relentless hard work in making the courses successful.
The commandant also made special mention about the patronization and kind direction of Prime Minister, who is also the chairperson of the governing body of NDC for the progress and development of NDC.
The senior course members as representative of military services, civil services and allied countries of NDC spoke on this occasion. They thanked the commandant, faculty members, resource personnel and all staff officers of NDC for their continuous support and hard work to make both the courses successful.
This year the NDC Course comprises of 31 Brigadier Generals from Bangladesh Army, four commodores and one captain from Bangladesh Navy, five Air Commodores from Bangladesh Air Force.
Besides the armed forces officers, two additional secretaries, eleven joint secretaries from civil administration and other cadres of civil services, one Director General from Foreign Service and two Deputy Inspector General from Bangladesh Police participated in the course.
Twenty five overseas course members of the rank of Brigadier General,Colonel and equivalent from twenty two friendly countries have also participated in National Defence Course this year.
This year the armed forces war course comprised of three Colonels and 33 Lieutenant Colonels from Bangladesh Army, two Captains and six Commanders from Bangladesh Navy and seven Group Captains and one Wing Commander from Bangladesh Air Force.
