The results for this year’s HSC and equivalent exams were released on Tuesday. Due to various challenges, not all exams were held, prompting education boards to implement a new approach for calculating scores.
Some HSC exams were cancelled this year, and students' scores for these subjects were determined using a method called "subject mapping." This means that the marks obtained in relevant subjects during the SSC exams were used to calculate the results for the canceled HSC exams.
Students accessed their results by visiting official websites like www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd, and www.eduboardresults.gov.bd. They entered their roll and registration numbers to view their scores. Additionally, students could download institution-wise result sheets using the EIIN of their educational institutions.
Results were also available via SMS. Students could obtain their results by typing HSC, followed by the first three letters of their board, their roll number, and the year, and sending it to 16222. For example: HSC DHA 123456 2024.
This year, the process for announcing results changed. In the past, the Prime Minister would formally announce the results at a ceremony attended by education officials. However, this year, the chairmen of each education board announced their respective results without a formal event.
The decision to cancel some exams was made after students protested in August, leading to significant changes in the exam schedule. Despite these challenges, education boards worked diligently to ensure that results were prepared and released in a timely manner for students.
