State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya said, “Government is working on a priority basis to create employment for the rural population.”
The state minister further said that the country has become independent under the unwavering and uncompromising leadership of Bangabandhu. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is working tirelessly to fulfill his dream. Bangladesh is moving forward. Bangladesh is a role model of development in the world today.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the Manirampur Upazila Parishad auditorium in Jashore district on Thursday while distributing loan cheques among the beneficiaries of the project to expand rural cooperatives in Jashore and Meherpur districts to create rural employment through milk and meat production.
Speaking as the chief guest, the state minister said the project would play a positive role in building developed nation. He urged the beneficiaries to purchase improved crossbred cows with the given money. He assured that if the loan could be utilized properly, a factory would be set up at Monirampur for processing the produced milk.
Jashore Deputy Commissioner Tamizul Islam presided over the function. Harun Aur Rashid Biswas, Project Director Mizanur Rahman, Monirampur Municipal Mayor and Upazila Awami League President Mahmudul Hasan and Upazila Executive Officer Syed Zakir Hasan spoke at function.
Under the project of expanding activities in Jashore and Meherpur districts for the purpose of creating rural employment through milk and meat production, one lakh and five thousand taka per person will be distributed among 2,800 people of Manirampur and 1,500 people of Jashore for purchasing cows and food. As part of this, cheques were distributed among 150 people in Manirampur.
