Speakers says at inaugural ceremony of Mirpur Furniture Eid Festival

The government is working hard to boost the domestic market by discouraging imports of foreign products while simultaneously providing all-out support to the businessmen to enhance exports, said speakers at the inauguration of a furniture festival in the capital.

The festival titled 'Mirpur Furniture's Eid festival 2024' was organised ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, was inaugurated on Monday at Mehfil Convention Hall in capital’s Sheorapara.

Sheikh Abdul Awal, President, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association, Mirpur Region, presided over while Salauddin Mahmud Zahid, Member of Parliament, Manikganj-1 and President, Begum Rokeya Sarani Business Cooperative Society was the chief guest at the inaugural  ceremony.

KM Akhtaruzzaman, President, BFEA and Director, FBCCI, Salim H. Rahman, Md. Elias Sarkar and A Karim Mazumder president, secretary and organising secretary, respectively of Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association were present as a special guest in the event.

More than 100 companies are participating in the festival and will display their products in their respective showrooms.

Every furniture showroom has offered special discount and attractive prizes during the festival period. For every purchase of Tk 20,000, customers will get 1 scratch card, which includes numerous prizes.
