The present education system has been in need of overhauling for a long time. With heavy focus of certificates, students forget about enjoying education rather they focus on memorization and only strive to get certificates. However this change has now become overdue and is in need of expediting so that new sessions can begin in a new way.
As per a report published in this daily, the government is planning to step over the present education system of excessive exams and make it more enjoyable and time-befitting. We hope that the new system will enable students to acquire knowledge and learn through joy.

The report also elaborates on competition in modern labour market and the way it is increasing day by day. Therefore, as per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina it is laudable to see that work is underway to make skilled manpower. This type of work will not be possible by the existing traditional education system. We have to think out of box in all the sectors.
The government needs to activate the foreign missions abroad and utilize them in collecting information and ways to help strengthen the education system. We have to look at better examples in the world. By looking at better systems we will be able to form a better system for our country as well.
