Despite the Covid-19 aggression, havoc of cyclone Amphan and fury of floods, the government is firm on facing the combined challenges and overcoming the crises.
None of the calamities like Covid-19, cyclone and floods could or can stand in the way of the government’s on-going development programmes.
The rogue virus and the natural calamities slowed down the economy. The government officials and experts said there is no alternative to overcoming the situation through undertaking effective strategies and addressing coronavirus infection.
They said the rehabilitation of the victims of cyclone and flood is also an important challenge for the government. Implementation of the just recently approved budget during the disaster period is also another challenge.
They said it is a reality that the revenue deficit during the corona period is a major barrier to development. Amid all these challenges, the government will have to create jobs for those who have become unemployed as well as provide employment to the new workforce.
