In a bid to check the coronavirus outbreak, the government has relaxed the timeframe for payment of gas and electricity bills without extra charge. Now the consumers can pay their February to May gas bills and February to April electricity bills anytime by June sans extra charge.
Two separate notices have been issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division and the Power Division in this regard. The notices said that to avoid gatherings in the banks for paying the bills and therefore to reduce the risk of coronavirus spread, the government has taken the decision.
