Govt officials, employees protest demolition of Bangabandhu’s sculpture

In protest against the demolition of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's sculpture, government officials and employees of Ishwardi upazila in Pabna staged a protest on Saturday.

On this occasion, government officials organized a discussion meeting in the Upazila Conference Room.

At the discussion meeting, officials of all levels of the Upazila Parishad, including police pledged to serve the country by keeping Bangabandhu's dignity intact. They also demanded exemplary punishment for those who vandalized the sculpture.

Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer PM Imrul Kayes virtually addressed the discussion as the Chairman. Among others Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mamtaz Mahal, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. FA Asma Khan, Social Service Officer Khandaker Masud Rana and Senior Fisheries Officer Shakila Jahan were present at the time.
