Assistant Director of District Manpower and Employment office Brahmanbaria was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in Kodda area under Sadar Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Azad Bhuiyan, 58.
District Manpower and Employment office sources said, Abul Kalam Azad and trainer Jiaur Rahman went Akhaura in the afternoon to attend a meeting. Later, their easy bike collided with an auto rickshaw in Kodda area of the Sadar Upazila when they were coming back, leaving five people injured.
The injured were rushed to Zila Sadar Hospital where on duty doctor declared Abul Kalam Azad dead.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain said that the body was sent to Zila Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The drivers of the auto rickshaws were held.
