State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Wednesday said with the development of ICT infrastructure, policy support and building capacity, the government is now on the verge of building a self-reliant Digital Bangladesh, reports BSS.
“Digital Bangladesh is no more a dream, it’s a reality now,” he told at a function organized by Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at BCC auditorium for giving certificates to 207 trainees who completed the `ACMP 4.0 Summer 2020’ course, said a press release.
Palak said it has been possible to keep almost all activities including educational to court normal using the ICT infrastructure.
The government has been providing training to build skilled human resources since 2009, he said adding the mobile phones and laptops industries have been set up in the country.
The state minister said the government aided IBA to launch the ACMP 4.0 course aimed at providing world-class training in the country for enhancing skills of IT professionals who played a vital role for expansion of business of the organization.
He gave thanks to IBA and LICT Project of ICT Division for completing the training courses successfully during Covid-19 pandemic.
Chaired by IBA Director Professor Dr Ferhat Anwar the function was addressed by ICT Senior Secretary N M Zeaul Alam, BCC Executive Director Parthapratim Deb, LICT Project Director Md Rezaul Karim and IT-ITES Policy Adviser Sami Ahmed, MDP Coordinator of IBA Dr. Shakila Yasmin, BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir, BACCO President Wahid Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Augmedix Rashed Noman, among others.
IBA Professor Sheikh Morshed Jahan presented a power point highlighting the overall activities of the Middle Management training (ACMP 4.0).
Zeaul Alam said the government will continue to provide support for such training as development of human resources is one of the four pillars of Digital Bangladesh.
Parthapratim said the ACMP 4.0 training programme has been designed to build a sound foundation in terms of contemporary business management thoughts and practices so that the professionals working in the IT or ITES industry can make effective and efficient decisions to increase business.
The ICT state minister awarded certificates to 207 trainees who completed the training course successfully.
Earlier, the ACMP training course was introduced by IBA in collaboration with LICT project in October 2017 and some 636 mid-level and senior professionals of different IT companies received training then.
