Govt. Mujibur Rahman Mahila College is one of the colleges of women education in northern region including Bogura. The present students along with the ex-students celebrated the 60th anniversary of the institution. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the college, former students organized a reunion at Bogura Govt. Mujibur Rahman Mahila College. Young and old alike were enjoying the campus premises.

A colorful procession was taken out from the main gate of the college at 8:30 am on Thursday. Past and present teachers and students participated in the procession with great joy. The procession ended at Kalitala turn and came back to the college.

Someone came after forty-two years. Some after thirty years, some after twenty years. But looking at their joy, it would seem that they are still students of Bogura Govt. Mujibur Rahman Mahila College. He went back to that college life by singing and dancing.

Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Member of Parliament for Bogra-6 Constituency and General Secretary of Bogura District Awami League, inaugurated the day-long program by hoisting the national flag, flying balloons-festoons and pigeons in the college premises around 10 am.

Under the chairmanship of the principal of the institution Prof. Zohra Wahida Rahman, the special guests were former principal of the institution Prof. Habiba Begum, former student of the institution and Member of Parliament of Bogra-1 Sahadara Mannan, former student and additional secretary of the Ministry of Finance Arfin Ara Begum, Chairman of Bhandari City Limited Taufikur Rahman Bappi Bhandari, College Vice-Principal Professor Bellal Hossain and College Teachers Council Secretary Golzar Hossain.

Mahfuza Khanam Lipi, the former VP of the student council of the institution, said, "After a long time, I came back to college, I feel like I have returned to that college life after a long time. I feel like I have returned to that college life. This former student, who is a member of the Bogura District Association, expects such an event to be held every year.

Tahmina Haider, a student of the 1967 batch of the college, said, "My heart is filled with seeing everyone."

1966 batch student Manowara Hayat came to the reunion from New York. He said, 'We have never seen so many people and such a big event in our college before.

Words cannot express the great feeling of coming to this college after so many years.'

Professor Zohra Wahida Rahman, principal of Bogura Government Mujibur Rahman Women's College, said that former and current students from 1964 to 2023 participated in the reunion ceremony.
