State Minister for Religion and Chairman of Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust Faridul Haq Khan presided over the 98th Board meeting of Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust on Wednesday at 10.00 am.
In the meeting, on the occasion of the upcoming Shubh Prabarana Purnima-2022, a decision was taken to distribute 2 crore Tk received from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund on a priority basis for the celebration of the festival in Buddhist temples across the country.
In the meeting, a decision was taken to approve the 3rd phase of pagoda-based pre-primary education project.
It was informed in the meeting that the proposed Bangladesh Pagoda and Kristi Cultural Complex project funded by the Government of Bangladesh in Lumbini, Nepal has been sent to the Evaluation Committee in the Ministry of Planning for approval. Apart from this, the progress of the overall activities undertaken by the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust was reviewed and necessary directions were given to the concerned to speed up the overall activities.
