Govt ensures online services to facilitate businesses: Tipu

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Wednesday said the government has ensured online services for all the business and commercial activities in the country.
He further said that introducing on-line licensing module (OLM) in export and import will ensure online service for businessmen which will help save money, labour and time.

The minister was addressing the inaugural ceremony of online service OLM for the department of export and import at a city hotel. "From here on the Export-Import office has is digital. Country's trading system advanced one step through the introduction of OLM at this office. We are committed to the WTO for providing paperless trade facilities, and works are actively going on in this regard.A number of conditions have already been relaxed for running business.Number paper correspondence has been reduced significantly", the Minister said.

The commerce minister also announced formal opening of the 7-day registration certificate renew fair-2019. Advising the government officials to provide trade services sincerely and affably, TipuMunshisaid there is no alternative to paperless trade to survive in the competitive world trade.So now all the trade activities should be digital so that businessmen can get all the services with no trouble.

He said the government is wholeheartedly trying to attract more foreign direct investment.All concerned have to prove it through their works in their respective departments.Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Md. Mafizul Islam presided over the meeting while Chief Controller, Export-Import Department, PraneshRanjanSutradhar, former Secretary AfrozaKhanom and other senior officials were present at the occasion.
