Government’s show ‘Esho He Baishakh’ on all channels

Bangla New Year is on the first day of Baishakh which is today. every year the day is celebrated amidst massive festivities and participation of people. However, due to the effect of coronavirus this year’s new year festivities have become a bit dull compared to the huge arrangements that the previous years have seen. 

This time all the events of Baishakhi have been suspended. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given warning in case of observing the Pahela Baishakh. In order to avoid public gaterings, it is directed to observe the Baishakh in a digital manner at home. In that light, the Ministry of Culture has created a common video program titled 'Esho He Baishakh'. 

It is reported that the video program will be of 60 mionutes. It will show Baishakh's song, recitation and last 10 minutes of the show will show last uyear’s Mongol Shobha Jatra and performances by Chhayanat. 

There will also be talks of not panicking about the coronavirus, not getting out of the house unnecessarily and creating awareness. It is also learned that this event is held keeping in mind that people of the country are celebrating Baishakh at home. There will be no special decorations. 

The event will be aired on all channels in unison. Former Minister of Culture and renowned actor Asaduzzaman Noor will have a recitation in the show.
