Gopalganj Police Hospital gets oxygen cylinder

The Babar Ali and Amena Begum Foundation has provided the necessary medical equipment to implement free emergency oxygen services to save the lives of dying Covid-19 positive patients at Gopalganj Police Hospital.

Director of Oasis Drug Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Center and Founder Member of Babar Ali-Amena Begum Foundation, Police Super SM Shahidul Islam handed over 8 Oxygen Cylinders, Oximeters and other equipments on behalf of Babar Ali-Amena Foundation at a function held at Gopalganj District Police Line on Friday morning. District Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique received equipment (PPE), mask and hand sanitizer to Gopalganj Police Hospital for use.

Later, members of the media, including police personnel, were given high-quality masks to deal with Covid-19.

Additional Superintendent of Police (dministration) Md. Abdur Rahman conducted the function and District Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique PPM spoke as the chief guest. Founder of the Babar Ali and Amena Begum Foundation SM Shahidul Islam, Kashiani Upazila Ratil UP Chairman Alhaj BM Harun Aur Rashid Pinu spoke as special guests.

The speakers urged all to stay at home in compliance with the rules and regulations announced by the government to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic and urged the able-bodied members of the society to come forward in times of emergency.

ASP Nihad Adnan Taiyan, ASP Md Khairul Alam, Officer-in-Charge of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Md Monirul Islam, media personnel working in various print and electronic media in the district and other police officers and members were present at the programme.

In addition, oxygen cylinders, oximeters, personal protection equipment (PPE), masks and hand sanitizers were distributed in a free emergency oxygen service programme to save the lives of dying Covid-19 patients in Ratil Union of Kashiani Upazila in the afternoon.
