Goendagiri to release on Eid-ul-Fitr

Adding to the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr list is another film. A film titled ‘Goendagiri' directed by Nasim Sahani will be released on Eid. This announcement was made at a press conference on Friday at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) Shahid Zahir Raihan Auditorium.

Present at the press conference, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Md Abu Hannah Mostafa Kamal, President of Bangladesh Film Directors Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Film Director's Association Badiul Alam Khokan, CEO of Evalley Md Russell, and member of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board and former Vice President of Bangladesh Producer Association Khorshed Alam Khasru, producer Morshed Khan Himel and film producer Mamunur Islam of ‘Goendagiri'.

Nasim Sahani, the creator of ‘Goendagiri’, said, "This has been created by overcoming some major adversities. This is the story of a couple of hobby detectives. The film was scripted over quite some time. Then gradually it moved forward to the construction process. Diverse locations have been used in shooting. Recently the movie received uncut censorship from the censor board. We are trying to release the film on holy Eid ul Fitr.”

Producer Mamunur Islam told that his production company Ammajan Films wants to give a tasteful and interesting film to the audience. That attempt has been made from ‘Goendagiri’.

In the story of the film, a group of teenagers is going on vacation. They have a speciality they dream that they will become big detectives in the future. Their idols are Sherlock Holmes, Feluda, three detectives and James Bond. Their campaign started when the media went after an old haunted house. The house in the forest is cursed or haunted. The hobby detectives started to solve the mystery of this house.

Kolyan Coraya, Mim Chowdhury, Shimanto Ahmed, Shampa Hasnain, Kochi Khandakar, Tarek Mahmud, Tutul Chowdhury, Shikha Khan, Tania Brishti, Prince have acted in various roles of the film.
