Hollywood legend Glenn Close is the latest star to join the much-awaited film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. According to a report by Deadline, the veteran actress will portray the character of Drusilla Sickle, a cold and commanding escort for District 12's Tributes in the new prequel to the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.
The film, directed by Francis Lawrence, brings together a powerful star cast including Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr, Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang, Ralph Fiennes, Elle Fanning, and Kieran Culkin. The story will also feature Porter in the role of Magno Stift, Drusilla's estranged ex-husband and a disillusioned stylist for the Tributes.
Sunrise on the Reaping is the newest chapter in The Hunger Games universe and promises to deliver gripping drama and thrilling storytelling. The screenplay has been written by Billy Ray, with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson producing the film under the banner of Color Force. Cameron MacConomy is onboard as executive producer.
