Girls outperform boys in Rajshahi SSC

A total of 94.71% of examinees came out successful in SSC examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board this year(2021). The percentage of pass is the highest in the last five years. Girl students under REB are pioneering in their results this year as well. They are also top in scoring GPA-5. 

The results of SSC under REB were published on 12-00 noon on Thursday. According to sources, a total of 206,314 examinees appeared in SSC examinations this year out of which 195,406 came out successful. The percentage of total pass is 94.71. 

Earlier, in 2020, the percentage of pass (in SSC) was 90.37, in 2019, the percentage was 91.64, in 2018, the percentage was 86.07, in 2017 the percentage was 90.70.

REB sources said, a total of 95.46 percent of female students came out successful this year while the percentage of pass of male students was 94.04.

This year 27,709 examinees received GPA-5 of which 14,739 are girls and 12,970 are boys. Out of 2,667 educational institutions under the Board 100% students from 398 schools came out successful this year. 

Professor Habibur Rahman, Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board has expressed his satisfaction with the SSC results under the Board. He said, it was extremely tough to continue reading during the Coronavirus pandemic but the students read amid such situations and scored good results.

Meanwhile, teachers of various schools mentioned that due to a shortened syllabus and assignments, students were able to score good results in the examinations. 

Touhid Ara, Head Master of Gov't PN Girls School said, the examinations were given on three subjects only and there were more answering options. As a result, students scored good results in the exams.
