The Bangladesh U-19 women’s football team take on tournament favorite Kyrgyzstan in their second and final group B match of the Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup Football tournament scheduled to be held today (Friday) at Bangabandhu National Stadium, reports BSS.

The match kicks off at 6 pm. Both Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan have confirmed their last four spot after another group B team United Arab Emirates (UAE) made exit from the tournament race after losing both their group matches.

Tomorrow’s match between Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan has virtually become the battle of supremacy of group champions. If Bangladesh able to win against Kyrgyzstan, then they will be emerged as the group champions.

Bangladesh skipper Misrat Jahan Moushumi earlier said they are upbeat to play better football against Kyrgyzstan after correcting their mistakes they did in the first match against UAE. She said they would play fighting match as Kyrgyzstan are strong opponents in the tournament.

The result could have been bigger against UAE if Bangladesh would not miss some easy scoring chances.

Moushumi said there was a lack of proper finishing in the match against UAE but at the same time she hoped that those mistakes would not repeat in their next match against Kyrgyzstan.

The girls in red and green made an auspicious start in the tournament as they blanked UAE by 2-0 goals in their group opening match.

On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan also made a good start as they beat UAE by 2-1 goals in their group opening match to confirm their semifinal berth.
