Ghanaian footballer Frank Ann Tim Tham (40) who was in Chittagong Central Jail died in Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Friday morning. The matter has been confirmed by Chittagong Central Jailer Md. Rafiqul Islam.
“He was hospitalized after he fell sick with fever and cough on Wednesday. He died on Friday morning while undergoing treatment in ward-1 of the hospital. The body is in the morgue of the hospital. Autopsy will be done.
Then our foreign ministry will contact the ambassador of that country. The body will be handed over if they want to take it. Otherwise, he will be buried here according to religious rites”, said the jailor.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Md. Zahirul Islam said the body of the deceased was in the morgue. Sample has been collected to test whether he was infected with the corona virus.
