Geo bag project has been inaugurated to prevent the erosion of Bakshiganj Dashani river in Jamalpur.
Former Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad MP inaugurated this project in Kushalnagar village of Nilakxia Union of Upazila last Tuesday afternoon. 13 thousand 500 geo bags will be installed at a cost of 60 lakh rupees under the supervision of Jamalpur water treatment board to prevent river erosion.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony there, Abul Kalam Azad MP said that the river erosion prevention work was temporarily inaugurated through Geo Bag. Later, measures to prevent river erosion will be taken permanently to prevent furthur river erosion there.
