Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza recently took to social media to announce that she has recovered from Covid-19. The actress, who had tested positive three weeks back was asymptomatic but was isolated for nearly 21 days.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday evening, Genelia shared the news with her fans as she shared a statement which read as "Hi, I was tested covid positive three weeks ago. I was asymptomatic for last 21 days. With god’s grace I tested negative today."
Furthermore, she added, "As much as I count my blessings that my battle with this disease has been much easier but at the same time I must admit that these 21 days in isolation have been the most challenging for me to deal with."
The ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ actress also shared her experience of battling Covid-19 in isolation as she wrote, "No amount of Facetime and digital immersion can kill the evil of loneliness. I am happy to be back with my family and loved ones. Surround yourselves with love that’s true strenght and it’s all one needs. Test early, eat healthy, stay fit- the only way to fight this monster."
Not only Genelia but several popular B-town celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kanika Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and others had also tested positive for Covid-19 but have recovered and returned home.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Genelia, who has been away from the silver screen for quite some time now, is reported to return with the official remake of Malayalam hit film ‘Lucifer’. —TOI
