Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed on Thursday instructed army personnel to remain alert against all kinds of rumours.
He made this remarks while addressing at a video conference with all ranks of army personnel.
Terming discipline as the lifeblood and loyalty as the driving force of the army, General Aziz instructed all members of the army to follow the chain of command.

He said Army is doing very well under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, but some people with vested interests have been trying to tarnish the achievement of the army.
When the army has been doing well in the Corona war, those vested quarters have been trying to spread confusion about the army, he added.
He advised the disciplined army to be vigilant against such propaganda as they had been in the past.
The army has always been committed to the government, the constitution of the country and the people, he recalled.
He called upon every member of the army to be ready to accept any sacrifice to safeguard the independence and sovereignty of the country.
General Aziz Ahmed gave directional speeches to the members of all ranks of the Bangladesh Army on Thursday.
He gave several instructions on various important issues, including the engagement of the Army personnel in the ongoing fight against the Corona situation and cyclone Amphan.
The Chief of Army Staff delivered his speech in all the cantonments at the same time.
General Aziz said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared war on Corona. We are soldiers and we are fully engaged in this war.”
He further said, “We are dedicating ourselves to the welfare of the country and the countrymen as per directives of the government.”
He thanked the premier for giving the Army the opportunity to be engaged in severing the people during this critical period of the country.
General Aziz Ahmed greatly appreciated the hard work and humane attitude of all the doctors, health workers and members of all ranks of the army engaged in combating the COVID-19.
He also thanked everyone for their relentless efforts to help the people affected by cyclone Amphan.
General Aziz Ahmed thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing opportunities to the Army in constructing various important infrastructures including N-8 Access Controlled Expressway.
General Aziz Ahmed instructed all army personnel to discharge their duties properly in implementing these mega projects.
The Chief of Army Staff highlighted various steps taken to build a capable Army in the light of the "Forces Goal 2030" and expressed his sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for her visionary direction and unwavering support.
