Gazette issued scrapping gallantry award of 4 Bangabandhu killers

The government finally has taken away the Liberation War gallantry awards from four fugitives killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman formally.

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Sunday issued a statement announcing the decision to revoke the titles of AM Rashed Chowdhury, Mosleh Uddin Khan, Shariful Haque Dalim and SHMB Noor Chowdhury.

Bir Uttam titles were stripped away from Noor Chowdhury and Dalim while Bir Pratik ranks were removed from Mosleh Uddin.

Once the awards are stripped, the fugitives and their families will no longer be able to make use of the benefits afforded to freedom fighters.

The father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated along with most of his family members and relatives at his residence at Dhanmondi on August 15 in 1975.
