A three-day music festival titled Ganer Jhornatolay was kicked off on Thursday at the Bengal Shilpalay in Dhanmondi.
Bengal Foundation Manager Rezwanul Kamal Chowdhury said that on the first day of the event, students of the Bengal Tradition Museum offered classical music in honor of the memory of late musician Mubarak Hossain Khan.
On the first day, traditional musicians gave soulful performances. The first performance was by Shaunak Debnath in Sarangiadan, Anjana Sarkar in Tabla, Ilham Fuljhuri Khan and Isra Fuljhuri Khan in the twin Sarodvadan and Rattan Kumar Das in Tabla. Kaniz Husna Ahmadi gave the second performance. Rinat Fauzia concluded the night with her performance.
