July 19th, Friday was the 7th death anniversary of renowned writer Humayun Ahmed. Gaanwala has released a new song titled ‘Jochonar Ful’ commemorating the legendary writer to pay tribute to him. The lyrical story has been voiced by Anindita Roy and Rajibul Islam respectively.

Humayun Ahmed has masterfully penned the frustration of not being able to catch the ray of light that seeps in through the windows when we were young. He has written about those fleeting moments of happiness in lucid words. The songs lines go like this—‘My childhood and adolescence passed not being able to catch the fleeting beauty. I know it is not possible still I keep trying now.’

Rajibul Islam, the lyricist of the song, says, “Humayun Ahmed is called the magician of stories. It is evident in his works about the various memories which he has gathered throughout his life and his philosophies. Not only that, after reading these stories we often find similarities with our own lives afterwards and incidents which took place in the continuous flow of time. Then a mysterious connection forms with the writer. One who is not well known personally, we find a soulful connection with the writer then. That is how Humayun Ahmed got connected with the readers.”

‘Jochonar Ful’ is a compilation of trying to commemorate the favourite writer through taking some excerpts from the film ‘Srabon Megher Din’ and from the song ‘Amar Bhanga Ghore’. This lyrical song has been published on the You Tube channel of Gaanwala.
