Classes will begin in full swing at the advent of next year after the completion of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni disclosed this after inaugurating the newly constructed office of Palli Bidyut Samity at Baburhat in Chandpur on Saturday.

The pandemic situation will be much better by January, next year, and we can go for the full swing classroom activities at every level, she reiterated after making the same remarks on October 21.

“There is no scope to increase the number of class in educational institutions for now in the country. They have to keep conducting classes in limited routine, following health guidelines,” she said.

“Many countries are now going through the third wave of Coronavirus. So, we cannot go for a full-scale class routine right now,” she added.

On communal violence, she said, “When the government under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to maintain communal harmony and develop the country, the BNP-Jamaat and their allies have united against the government and are committing various misdeeds.

No matter how organized the evil forces may be, if the people of the good force are united, they will not be able to harm us in any way. That is why everyone has to work together with keeping eyes open, she added.

She further said intelligence agencies are working on the violence and whoever involved will be identified and brought to justice.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, DGM of Chandpur Palli Bidyut Dev Kumar Malu, District Awami League Organizing Secretary Tafazzal Hossain Esdu Patwari and President of Chandpur Press Club Iqbal Hossain Patwari and others were present on the occasion, among others.
