Following a courtesy visit to Oman ends on Friday, a special delegation from the National Defence College, Bangladesh met with various Oman government officials.
During their visit, they toured important places in Oman and met with important officials like the Vice President of the State Council and the Shura Council of Oman, the Chief of Oman Armed Forces, and other important leaders.
The head of the National Defence College from Bangladesh talked about helping Oman with training and sharing Bangladesh's experience with natural disasters. They also discussed importing clothes and ships from Bangladesh.
According to Times of Oman, the delegation was warmly received by Oman's military leaders. Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, the Sultanate of Oman's Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces (SAF), welcomed the delegation from the National Defence College of Bangladesh, which was led by Lt. Gen. Md. Saiful Alam. The leaders also had a meeting on Tuesday at Al Murtafa Garrison, where they discussed a range of topics.
They also talked about the contribution of Bangladeshis in Oman and asked for help with visa issues and improving their living conditions. They emphasised the potential for a strong friendship between the two countries.
