The Public Administration department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) organised its fresher’s reception and farewell programme-2019 on Sunday.
The programme was held at seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium on the campus.
The department welcomed the 48th batch under academic session 2019-20 and bid farewell to master's students under academic session 2013-14 (43th batch) in this programme.
Associate Professor Dr Jebunnessa, chairman of the department and former member of Public Service Commission also the Founder Chairman of JU Public Administration department, presided over the function.
Pro-VC of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Professor Dr M Abul Kashem Mazumder addressed the function as the chief guest and dean of JU Social Science faculty Professor Dr Rasheda Akhtar as the special guest.
Addressing the function Prof. M Abul Kashem Mazumder said, "Now a days, educated young are giving priority to the BCS. So you have to keep concentration on that too. Those who succeed on earth never want to be what they are. Everyone has succeeded in pursuing their own endeavors. So you will have to do everything with sincerely and humility.
