Fresh vow to build Sonar Bangla

Let our youth take the responsibility

People from all walks of life paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War on Friday marking the country’s 52nd Victory Day. They expressed fresh vow to deploy their full strength to build the country as a developed, prosperous and non-communal “Sonar Bangla” imbued with the spirit of Liberation War and the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Youths played the leading role in each of the democratic movements in the country’s crisis moment. Like in the past, our young people must also take a fresh vow to protect the country’ s independence and sovereignty as various conspiracies are still going on.

Some vested quarters are out to tarnish the government’s image in many ways when the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is drawing up proper measures for the betterment of people amid many odds. Being benefitted politically, the patrons of the killers of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, anti-liberation forces and different extremist groups in association with some anti-state vested quarters staying at home and abroad are still plotting to destabilise the country alongside tarnish the image of Bangladesh.

history of Liberation War

When the ruling Awami League is admiring the sacrifice of millions of martyrs through turning Bangladesh into a developed, prosperous, hunger and poverty-

free and non-communal country, the anti-liberation forces are trying their level best to obstruct the path in many ways. 

Apart from home, some elements staying at abroad are also plotting against the government in many ways in order defame the country’s image. The anti-liberation forces tried to erase the history of genocide, killing, arson attack and violence in Bangladesh – committed during the War of Liberation in 1971 by the Pakistani Army and their allies – as they were in power for 30 out of 52 years of independence.

Our young people will have to know the true history of Liberation War. On the occasion of Victory Day, we all must swear with a strong voice that we will not let the blood of martyrs go in vain.
