Mayor Shahid Ullah Khan Sohail has been distributing food items among the low-income people of Noakhali Municipality since the beginning of corona crisis to alleviate the food crisis.
Following this, food items were distributed among 200 families of Freedom Fighters in the municipal area on Saturday morning.
At that time, the district Freedom Fighters Sangsad also gave a cash grant of Tk 1,000 to each freedom fighter's family.
Mayor Shahid Ullah Khan Sohel distributed the donations and food items at the Freedom Fighters office in Maijdi Panchrasta area of the district town.
District Freedom Fighter commander Mozammel Hossain Milon, Freedom Fighter and Awami League leader Mia Mohammad Shahjahan and many others were present at the time.
